I lost nearly fifty pounds - as in weight, not cash. Smile

Well done, everyone! You're all doing more than I am. I turn into a slug in the summer in Houston. It's just too hot and humid to get out and do much of anything.

I just finished school for the summer Laughing

Get 6 1/2 weeks off and get to see Paul and Mark into the bargain - can't be bad! Also get to holiday two weeks in The Algarve, so life is good, once I recover enough from school to enjoy it!

Meanwhile, I've been busy with school this summer. Curse the powers that made me think taking a summer session was a good idea.

College is surprisingly time consuming, I'm learning.

I've been busy redecorating a bedroom - stripping wallpaper, fixing drywall, now painting (and cleaning paint out of cat fur)... Fun, fun, fun.

I'm going back to Mississippi on Thursday to stay with my 89-yr-old mother while my sister-in-law goes out of town. Since she fell recently, her memory is not all that good, and she doesn't drive anymore, we don't like leaving her completely alone for too long. I might get to see a couple of old high school while I'm there, but I suspect I will be taking mom to the casinos most of the time.

Oh, yeah, photographic proof of the first of my two statements:

Inked?!?!!?

I was considering a Seal of Rassilon, actually, but changed my mind. Maybe if I ever get another, which I would only do when I can no longer summon up in my mind how this one felt (i.e. likely never or else in at least ten years).

It hurt because of where you got it. I got one on my calf and it really didn't hurt much at all.

Ooh, I didn't know you had one!!! My mother got one right on her ankle after her sister died (pink ribbon with her sister's name), and she said it hurt something fierce. I think it's the same principle. It was military payday when I went in. I shoulda known something was up when all the big muscley army guys saw where I was getting it done and they all winced.

I did it on my calf a little bit above the ankle in the fleshy part. It wasn't bad. My niece has one where you do and one on her shoulder. She said the shoulder didn't hurt nearly as bad as the other one.
