Oh now that's doing it right. Someone has to go to that one-- I'd go just to see the estate, alone! Very Happy Thanks for the link, Scribble. Smile

Too bad that conflicts with my company's annual conference (which I have to work at) or I'd go. A friend of mine and I have been trying to go to England for 2 years and that might have made us get off our butts and plan it.

I saw this at Michelle Harris's website. *strangled cry of hope* I need a miracle times two. Conventions in November AND March-we did this bit, but, ohh, I hope it comes in twice. I want to go to both conventions! *sigh*

I need like $2000 for an airfare but I do have a fair bit of time to plan and save , thinking of buying the ticket for Time Quest and planning it all around that - accomodation seems reasonable too - its a bit early to plan this but if anyone is going on their own who would want to twin share?

*edit* I have bought a ticket ........ now to plan and save

Well what a weekend that was , absolutely unbelievable.

EPIC! (my new favoruite word)

The coffee lounges were great, basically they cost 10 quid, and you got to have coffee/tea with a guest with 12 others so it was very chilled and relaxed,
Paul's was great , someone asked him about Australia thinking he'd been already so then I told him Id be there and he chatted about oz for about ten minutes , prob more, asking me where the places he would be at were . Brilliant! then when hed answer other questions a lot of the time hed be looking at me HA!

Everything about the weekend was amazing, sorry this is such a short review but promise more later, or course with pics Very Happy

Just saying ... I was looking at the pics Biggles took during the convo (when I had no idea who it was ... I knew someone was there taking pictures and I was like MY BACK IS GONNA BE ON THE INTERNET! OH BOY! though in retrospect that's kinda neat) and showed them to friends, one of whom started whacking me over the head asking how I stayed so calm.

On the one hand, you find yourself glad of it. On the other, you're gonna be wondering how you did. Am I right? Wink

He really does put you at ease, likely because he got to talk about stuff that actually interested him -- as I'm guessing besides it being somewhere he's never been, it's stuff he's gonna actually have a chance to get psyched about now. I've never been but I'm assuming you gave it the awesome representation it deserves.

In my case it was like geeking with a fellow fan and once in a while I'd be talking about what Sleddale was like now and he'd say what it was like twenty years ago and in the back of my head I'd go 'Oh RIGHT!!!' like an idiot.

Well, clearly you've had the chance to prep him for Oz so I'll bet he's looking forward to it now. <3

(Mikoto needs a heart icon, especially here of all places.)
