Yes, finally after 1 1/2 years, I've decided to delurk! My name is Kristine, and I live in Dallas with my husband and ten awesome children - 6 boys, 4 girls. I used to fly for the USAF as a weapons director, but I left to have a family.

Last March I went to our library and found a copy of the first episode of Hornblower. Thinking my teenage boys might like it, I brought it home, and then swiftly checked out episode #2. We then went to the A&E website and promptly bought the whole set, and that's when I discovered Paul. Since then I've tried to get my hands on anything he was in, but have only been able to find Catherine the Great. I googled and found Horatians and from there the Library. You all seem so fun and close, so that's why I decided to "come out of the woodwork", so to speak. I also have a fondness for the rest of the McGanns (who here doesn't!), and love to check out their myspace blogs, thanks to Estelle's link.

I look forward to formally "meeting" you and being part of this community!

Hi--welcome to the board! I can't believe you managed to lurk for a year and a half. That's a long time! Smile

Hi Kristine and welcome to this bit of McGanned space! I have an aunt and cousin who live in the Dallas area (Grand Prairie and Arlington, respectively). It's cool that you've decided to delurk. Smile Amd, wow, ten children, too! You have my utmost admiration!

Welcome Kristine!!! I myself just finshed the boxset of HH this past weekend. Of course Mr. Bush and Archie are my favorite characters in the series, but I think Paul had that extra something. Wink

Looking forward to your posts!

Welcome to the Library Kristine.

Ten kids!! I am surprised you have time to sit down and watch anything.

I also discovered Paul through Hornblower, even though I had watched Catherine The Great and Our Mutual Friend before that. But it was Mr. Bush growling that did me in.

Look forward to getting to know you.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Paul's growl caught my attention, too, as did his handsome good looks. My down time is in the evenings when the little ones go down and I can watch movies, craft, or just veg.

Akka - my mom is from Wiesbaden and I've been to Germany numerous times, as well as other exotic ports thanks to the military. Where in Germany are you? I've also been to Frankfurt, Munich, Koblenz, and points in between. I would love to go sometime to the Christmas markets - one of my dreams!

Belladog - how much farther south in Texas are you?

Estelle - during my lurkings, I found out that you have 5 children, so much admiration from me to you!

Kristine, I am way down here, approx. 26 miles from the Gulf Coast,
medium size town called Victoria, nothing so glamorus as Dallas.
Just a bit too close to coast, but it's home. Last time I was in Dallas
was many, many years ago to see Paul McCartney, it was a great time
but such a long drive 7-8 hrs...whew!
I agree Paul McGann is so very handsome, and what a lovely voice.

Kristine: Wiesbaden? Wow, I know it! Itīs near place my family and me took our holiday for 12 years! Itīs a lovely place there!
Iīm from West Germany, called Ruhrgebiet, better near Essen, Bottrop, Oberhausen! We had a lot of cole mines here, but most of the are closed right now!
And I know Koblenz, because at our holiday trip sometimes the train way must got through!
How small the world can be.... Cool

Hi Kristine,

I found Paul through HH too, though unknowingly, I'd seen some of his minor roles in feature films earlier (Alien3, Empire of the Sun, 3 Muskateers.)

But it was his portrayel of Lt. Bush....that's when his mojo began to work on me seriously. A case of English Voodoo. Twisted Evil

Welcome to the Library.

Kristine,
I know of no other McGann fans around here.
People around here are interested in other things.
If you go to the coast again, sing out and maybe do a
drive by, that be great!

Aha, there you are! *G*

Also, don't worry about getting fixed up with PMG movies. The fangirl network is famous for its generosity.

Okay girls... step up to the plate!
