I love Paul in this first one--what a ham. Wink

Stephen, Mark, Joe and Paul

A rousing game of football with sister Clare, and Mum McGann... Smile

The entire McGann clan with Paul's Mum and his real father, Joe...
(This was taken around the time the brothers were performing in
Yakety Yak--hence the 50's gear and haircuts.)

My Gally and CT pal Dave Phillips (who's a pediatrician in Chicago) opined that Paul's mother was likely iron-deficient when she was carrying him and that's why he's smaller than the rest of his sibs. Dave said that when I told him that Paul's conception had been preceded by twins who had died. He's the same guy who joked that we could clone Paul by lifting his DNA from his wine glass. LOL

I always love looking at their family pictures. I love to see the resemblances, and to see when they were young compared with how they look now. So cute!

Here's a few more.

Mark, Clare, Joe, Paul, Stephen

Mark, Stephen, Paul, Joe
Is this the one they call the "spandau ballet" pic? What is the spandau ballet anyway??

Paul, Joe, Stephen, Mark

Paul, Stephen, Mark, Joe

(I listed all the names, because it took me FOREVER to tell them all apart! It seems silly now, but at the time, all the non-Pauls were just a bunch of non-Pauls to me. Embarassed Before I fell in love with them all. Very Happy )

More to come! I have all the cute "sofa pictures" too, but I've been cleaning up the watermarks (in a very amateurish fashion), so I'll put them up soon.

It's funny because as soon as I seen this one of the lads, I thought it was very 'Spandau Ballet'! Wink Spandau Ballet were a 5-man band/group in the 80s whose image was kind of like the whole New Renaissance/Romantics era...their songs weren't bad either, well that's my opinion anyway! Wink I'll see if I can dig out a few of their photos and compare 'em to that one above! Smile

Here's a black and white one of the band that I thought kinda matched the McGann one; all in suits too of course Razz:

Speaking of Spandau, I think Gary Kemp (the blonde guy in the middle in that pic Mango posted) -- Paul has stated that Gary's his "best mate." He's also worked with Martin Kemp, recently in that Miss Marple's sleeping Murder, and he worked with Gary in Poppies.

So I guess the whole Spandau Ballet connection just seems to <<work>>. Smile

It's like Six Degrees of Spandau Ballet, or somefin.'

Oh cool! So I guess Spandau Ballet were British. I've heard about Gary Kemp, from Poppies and maybe other things with Paul.

Shocked That must be from the same photo shoot as "Shame About the Boy,"1983, because Joe and Stephen are wearing the same outfits! Very Happy Razz

Although, it could be coincidence. I think Joe is wearing that SAME jacket in the Spandau Ballet pic. Very Happy And Mark's and Paul's hair look different. Maybe Stephen and Joe just have their favorite outfits. Cool

Yep and Gary is the older brother of Martin Kemp (1st on the right in the Spandau Ballet pic) who appeared in the Sleeping Murder Miss Marple episode with Paul! Smile It is like 6 degrees of separation here! Wink
