Hi there! Greetings from Bulgaria, my name is Veselina or Selina if you prefer. I'm 18 years old, a student in our National School of Music and - surprise, surprise - I love Paul McGann and his work.
The first time I saw him was, I think, in "Queen of the Damned" - nothing really special happened, I've just thought he's qute (despite the haircut). Next was "Doctor Who" and THEN I did get totally McGanned. I didn't like the movie much but it didn't matter, cause I was drooling at Paul most of the time. The actual scene that "opened my eyes" was the one in the elevator, when he says: "Puccini! We've met before!"

He has such a nice, sweet, tender voice, I just love his audio works. But I don't think I'm telling you something you don't know already Wink
Well, that's from me for now, apologies for my crappy English and good night (Gosh, it's 1:08AM here) Shocked

Hi, Selina!

Yeah, the Doctor Who TVM is what got me, too (and to this day, thanks to Big Finish, 8 is still my favourite Doctor). Very nice to meet you!

Welcome Veselina! You are in good company here as we all love Paul's voice! I've never been really into audio books but I could listen to his all day - even if I'm not into the story itself Shocked ! He's a beautiful man and he will grow on you the more you see of him - you have been warned!

#1 fave 8 audio is Invaders from Mars, with Max Warp (a much more recent one!) a very close second. He's so good as the Doctor ... alternates well between the dramatic scenes and ... just ... being 8. You know. Laughing

To Estelle's favorites I should add Zagreus - the scene with the Cat and the Box was priceless Laughing But my favorite EVER is Chimes of Midnight though.

Hooray for fans of Paul's voice Smile As had been said, you are in good company here.

Speaking of the audio tapes, could someone hook me up with e-mailing me some of them...or something? I'm broke.

Welcome Selina! It was the good Doctor that truly got me into "Pauldom" as well. I'd seen Paul in a few things before the TVM and liked him. But it was the TVM that put me over the edge. I'm actually very fond of the TVM and think it's better than people give it credit for being. Anyway, I fell in love and Eight's been my Doctor ever since! Very Happy

I go back to the beginning with the Eighth Doctor-clear back to the debut in May 1996. My first "extra" experience of Eight was the BBC series of novels, so I'm more novel-orientated. I have heard some of the audios, though, and I agree-that voice is heaven. So far, my favourite audios are "Shada" (I also love the animated version of that) and "The Stones of Venice".

Hope you enjoy it here at the Library. There are indeed plenty of Paul goodies here. Btw, LOVE your avatar!
