What a fabulous trip and what great pictures! I've wanted to hunt for that place ever since I saw the movie as it is the perfect movie destination - a little mysterious, a little hard to find and totally cultish! Take some wine, some bull repellent and some chicken salad sandwiches!

But with "I" as a tour guide - phwar! Girls, you have to pull that one off and tell us all the details!

What great location photos Mikoto!! I'm almost expecting to see Uncle Monty making an appearance. Unfortunately, we may see"I" disappear as tour guide. Laughing
Michele and Sam, if you decide to go, have fun and take loads of pics.

So, Sam and I spoke to Paul this morning about the possibility of him taking us all on a Withnail tour and he hasn't declined the invitation!

He has asked me to e-mail him with details and he will consider it Laughing

I did comment that he wanted me to e-mail so he could ignore me, but he said he just felt he needed to be sitting down before he heard the details of our proposal!

He hasn't turned it down out of hand though..........

Will keep you posted - meanwhile, start saving!

Haha, what a good sport he is!! Back in March 1999 he and Annie entertained three PMEBers for a day in Bristol.

Oof! I'll go again if only to make sure everyone goes on the right path (and not the roundabout way we all had to go on account of the ice).

That's another thing. Make it spring or summer. The only reason we chose to go in such foul weather is because it was my last day in the country and a friend had told me it was within reasonable driving distance.

Question ... would the tour just be a hike up to Sleddale Hall, or could we hit some pubs? (Admittedly the pubs are nowhere near the house, which I learned a little too late, but it's worth a shot!)
