Hi, I'm Dani, 20, from Nürnberg, Germany. Yep, yet another German here Wink

I think I found the Library through a wiki link. Can't be sure though, I have the most awful memory.

So, how did I get "mcganned"? I blame the Doctor. Watched the movie last week and he was absolutely brilliant. I can't believe I'd never heard of him before. This site has lots of info, pics and nice people, so here I am ^^ I probably won't post all that often, I'm more of a lurker. My biggest post count ever is something around 200 over at Wrong Planet and that's only because I'm on that site almost daily Wink

Urgh, I really hate introducing myself, I'm surprised I wrote that much Wink

Hi Dani!

Glad to have another member from Germany. Love your avatar!
Is that Everest?

Wasn't Paul wonderful as the 8th Doc! Come by when you can.

*laughs* No, not Everest. It's in Austria, Obertauern to be exact. We went skiing there this year. If you squint you can even see the lift. It's murder, that slope, especially when you can't see a thing, because it's so foggy Wink

The Austrian mountains are very impressive and beautiful.
Wow, to have skied such a mountain!

You might want to see another of Paul's work as Lieutenant Bush in the Horatio Hornblower series. Very good stuff.

Thanks for the recommendation. Didn't he get on that only later in the show?
I've already seen Withnail & I, now that was a strange film. Took me a while to figute out what it was about Wink

Well maybe that's a 'sign'--maybe you'll be around more than you think then. Wink
Hi Khalaris, nice to meet you. There seem to be three 'camps' where Paul's concerned--those who've known him since Day 1 (sort of the 'Withnail' camp), those who've followed him since he was the Doctor, and those who've known him since Hornblower. Smile
Speaking of Hornblower, yes, he does make his first appearance in the second series (HHII-'Mutiny' and 'Retribution'), and is also in the third (HHIII-'Loyalty' and 'Duty'), but you needn't watch the first part really to follow the others. The stories all stand alone, altho you do meet most of the characters in HHI. But HHI is fantastic, tho, even without Mr. Bush, and worth a look. Wink

Great to have another German here! I'm German by blood--my mom is from Berlin. She came over to the US in the fifties when she married my service-man dad who was stationed at Templehof in Berlin. Smile

Enjoy the Library!

Looks like I'm sort of in camp 2 Wink I've only discovered Doctor Who about 2 1/2 months ago, though. I'm not old enough to have known the original series and Pro7 refuses to show the new one for some reason Evil or Very Mad
I don't know why, but british productions are never very successful here. It's a shame. We might not even get to see the second series of Life On Mars Rolling Eyes

I have a colleague who's from Chicago. He told me he had major problems understanding people in the Harry Potter films because of the british accent Shocked Funny, I understand them just fine Laughing

Welcome from me too! My grandmother was German and I adore the country (hhmm, I think I'm due back for visit - especially after seeing your gorgeous avatar!) I didn't find Paul until this past Feb/March and then it was in the form of Mr. Bush - who will always be my favorite. I'm still finding Paul goodies to watch and he's fabulous in everything so you have a lot to look forward to!
