Information about the upcoming release of Gypo by Wolfe Video can be found at http://www.wolfevideo.com/press_newreleases.asp#, including PDF and HTML versions of the press release. three images from the film, and a picture of the DVD cover. The DVD will include a commentary track with director Jan Dunn and Pauline McLynn, behind-the-scenes featurette, original trailer, and closed captioning. The commentary discusses the challenges of making a film that adheres to Dogme 95 standards (and where it deviates), the unique immigrant problems facing the British population, and the surprise lesbian relationships both on-screen and behind-the-scenes.

In the release Gypo is described thusly:

Starring Britcom Fave Pauline McLynn, International Icon Rula Lenska, and Introducing Chloe Sirene

Paul McGann?? Who's he? Anyway, later in the blurb, the following is mentioned about PM: Paul McGann, who plays Helen's husband Paul, starred as the eighth Doctor Who on the popular sci-fi series, as well as playing 'I' in the cult favorite WITHNAIL & I. American audiences will also recognize him from the films ALIEN 3 and QUEEN OF THE DAMNED.

It looks like Gypo will not get a general cinematic release but will go straight to DVD after its appearance at mainly gay and lesbian themed film festivals. Too bad.

The author of the press release didn't seem to think that Paul also starred in this flick (not enough to include him with the starring ladies anyway). I thought it odd that he should be overlooked, but then that's par for the course for him.
